Elvin Bishop came to Chicago from Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1960. Four years later, along with Paul Butterfield, Sam Lay and Jerome Arnold, he founded The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, whose landmark sound introduced a rock edge to the Chicago blues. Elvin continues to record and tour, and asked Sam lay to sit in during his most recent Chicago gig.
